One of the greatest privileges we’ve had since founding M&R Specialty Trailers and Trucks over a decade and a half ago is helping entrepreneurs get their start in innovative business categories. A pair of entrepreneurs we had the opportunity to work with recently are from Four Legged Foodie based out of the Atlanta, Georgia area.
The goal of Four Legged Foodie is to provide human-grade quality food for dogs. In fact, as you’ll see in the video, Bob Pierson, co-owner of M&R Specialty Trailers and Trucks promises to sample some of the food himself. We will post a follow up YouTube video when this happens and offer a review!
The converted sprinter van will enable Four Legged Foodie to generate sales and market their business in locations that pet owners frequent regularly like dog parks, pet adoptions and other animal focused events.

Click play on the video above to take a virtual tour of the converted sprinter van. In the video, the van has yet to be wrapped, but once this is complete the unit will serve as a rolling billboard for the company at events. Other features in this unit include an external display case where Four Legged Foodie will be able to merchandise their menu items.

Changing Customer Preferences in the Pet Food Industry

Over the last few decades, consumers are viewing their furry friends more like members of the family and not just pets. Part of this change means that owners are starting to take a more serious look at the food these family members are eating on a regular basis.
The “fresh” pet food subset is a relatively new segment of the overall pet food category that’s grown rapidly in recent years. According to this report from USAToday.com, the typical pet owner spends over $1,200 on food alone in the United States. Reputable pet industry publications believe that “superpremium pet food’s future is fresh.”
We wish Four Legged Foodie success in their new venture. Their website will soon be launched soon and you’ll be able to meet them in person at pet-focused events across the Atlanta area.
