Richard Willis is the co-founder of M&R Specialty Trailers and Trucks. For over 20 years, Richard has been at the forefront of building food trucks and concession trailers for a wide variety of clients from non-profits to schools, first-time business owners to big-name brands. Over the past two decades, M&R Specialty Trailers and Trucks became one of the most respected names in the mobile industry.
In the early days of the business, M&R Specialty Trailers and Trucks was focused on making utility trailers, but Richard saw a big opportunity in mobile food. In 2010, the company’s focus shifted their focus to making food trucks, trailers, and specialty units to become a leader in this rapidly changing industry.
During this time period, M&R Specialty Trailers and Trucks identified the need for clinics, dentists and other healthcare providers to provide mobile support for patients. These mobile medical units help healthcare providers offer improved services regardless of patient location.
Richard’s background in computer engineering means he’s great at planning out projects. Richard is a strong customer advocate and the first step in any build process is to understand the customers needs and goals for a mobile unit.
Richard has been committed to delivering free blueprint designs to customers before work starts on any build project. This is an essential step at the start of the build process to ensure the customer knows the exact layout and design of their future unit.
Richard co-founded the business with Bob Pierson, who brought more than 40 years of construction experience to the table. Together, they built the foundation for the company that continues to grow.
Living in Macclenny, Florida, Richard is dedicated to giving the best service to his customers, making sure every food truck or trailer from M&R is something to be proud of. Richard’s approach has helped M&R Trailers and Trucks contribute to the growing mobile food industry, proving that a good idea and teamwork are the foundation for building a successful business.
